The organic label is tricky- it means different things to different people, and the government regulation on it isn’t always as specific as some think.

I’m not a big fan of milk and could easily give it up. But giving up cheese would be tough! I do find that I love the taste of natural, grass-fed cheeses better than the more processed, industrialized versions we often find in the U.S.

I agree. Yes, of course we should love our loved ones year-round. But giving mom or dad or grandparents or whomever a day to feel extra special once a year isn’t pointless. Some people need the reminder!

I’m guessing that’s exactly why it’s only available for a few days. It won’t take long for people to realize that it tastes bad and stop ordering it. It’s really genius marketing, when you think about it.

How amazing would it be to do a “coffee shop crawl” through NYC?! These all sound amazing!

Well, Stevia is not artificial. But I agree- just give me sugar. I have managed to get used to (and even enjoy!) a little honey in my hot tea, though.

I would love to try them all…except the canned or bottled coffee. No thanks. I like my coffee fresh!

My parents use a natural sweetener called Stevia in their coffee and tea. I can’t seem to get used to the taste, but they rarely use real sugar anymore.

I guess that explain why, even though I usually eat a pretty healthy breakfast, I always crave something sweet and sugary with my coffee. Something like a granola bar or a small cookie. I can never seem to drink coffee just by itself.

Social media is so important! More than once, I’ve made the 20-minute commute to the coffee shop in the next town over just because they put up a picture of a delicious-looking cake or pastry they were offering that day. But make sure your posts use good grammar and spelling. If the post doesn’t look professional, I usually assume the business…[Read more]

Quality beans are definitely a must! An article about what the different brews mean (light, dark, medium) would be very interesting, too.

M Horton commented on the post, Children and Coffee: Yes or No? 1 year, 10 months ago
My mom let me crawl up in her lap and drink out of her (very sugary) mug of coffee when I was a toddler. I’ve pretty much loved coffee my whole life, though I didn’t drink it regularly until I was close to college age. So far, I haven’t let my five year-old daughter have any. I told her “coffee is for grown-ups” and she believed me.

I drank a cup or two of coffee throughout both of my pregnancies and things went OK. Well, my second pregnancy had some issues, but not because of caffeine. I’ve never really understood why some people seemed so afraid of coffee while pregnant.
